I've been using Plurk for 15 years, happily; I've been using this official app for somewhat less than that, but still many years. It's reliable apart from the occasional glitch, and you can pay a few dollars every month for some extra features (more custom emotes, no ads, a "mentions" tab, that kind of thing). Currently I'm a paid user who's seeing a lot of large ads in the app, and they aren't just the recent ads for the Plurk swag (which didn't bother me) -- they're ads for financial services and things like that. Tsk tsk. Fix it, Plurk. Otherwise, this app is a good way to experience a good social networking site.

Peace Love Unity Respect KARMA, PLURK is just what the world needs as far as social media platforms go, ie., it’s efficient, it’s clean & chic, & it’s very contemporary format so it even looks ‘fast’ ‘quick’ ‘sharp’ ‘smart’ ‘relevant’ ‘current’ I’d love to see PLURK ally with only other ‘free speech dedicated’ platforms throughout the world, as well as with necessary service providers dedicated to that Free Speech Standard so none are vulnerable to government &/or political bullying, censorship = over reach. 1 thing it needs = ability to upload short video w/sound. 🐬

Plurk is great. Plurk is good. Plurk is god. Download Plurk. Seriously though, Plurk is a good app. Great escape from Twitter. A little different at first, but has a good community.

Plurk should stop taking Karma & start giving it if they would do this they would become bigger than Facebook

Downloaded the app, used it a couple times within 30 minutes, got two ads on the same sensitive topic. No way around it but to stop using the app. deleted.

Thanks for the cool app all along. However there is one bug that is causing inconcinience. The auto display of a link will misidentify links that contains both English and Chinese (e.g. those of wikipedia) and break them apart. This leading to an incorrect url that the plurk tries to reach.

Not sure why but I cannot post on my iOS app. Please fix

As of yesterday, I cannot make new plurks from the app. I can reply and read fine, but attempting to post either leaves an indefinite “sending...” or fails to send at all. I shouldn’t have had to download an entirely different app just to be able to post. I like this one, partly because it allows me to invert the screen colors, which the other app doesn’t let me do and which is necessary due to my migraines. In addition to a very annoying and significant bug, this is an accessibility problem.

I can’t post my updates on here, it will let me respond. I deleted the app. Reset my network settings. Reinstalled it. Connected it to WiFi and it will still not let me post my plurks. Please fix this issue. Thanks.

Treasure users’ privacy. Not mining your data for profit. Not sorting or hiding your posts by weirdly designed algorithms. Not filled with stupid bots. Simple and straightforward.

After the most recent update plurk closes out after a few seconds of use

After the latest update Plurk keeps crashing all the time. Please fix this...

Used to love love love plurk, now it just seems like a moneygrab. I have to pay to see if someone mentions my name? Honestly? The desktop site is garbage and used to ding at me and update me consistently, now I have to completely refresh the page to even see updates and I miss them constantly. That’s why I have to depend on the phone app now for updates so I don’t miss them. Problem is that I can hardly ever get photos to load. If they do, they take incredibly long.. and it doesn’t matter if I am on WiFi or not. Seems like such a trivial thing. I honestly wish my friends would move to a better social media platform because plurk is not what it used to be.

Hello, I enjoy this app a lot but using the time machine is a bit annoying and confusing when trying to look at old plurks, I am hoping that there will be a more efficient way to view old plurks and pictures. Thank you~! ^^

How come when I viewing an website within plurk, it always display that “plurk would like to open xxxxx” which is more like an ad?

app was working perfectly fine until i just updated it, now it only sometimes shows me notifications when someone replies to a plurk and i keep losing track of conversations, please fix this!

Why isn’t it letting me create a password? I’m trying to make a plurk but it’s not letting me without my password. Pls help lol

The convo does not auto refresh when inside the plurk, so you have to constantly back out and manually refresh which gets annoying.

Easiest way for me to view my timeline. Looks good and is user friendly.

no idea why this is happening but there you go. Plurk stays open for roughly 3 seconds before quitting and crashing. Reinstalling doesn't help.

This latest update is broken. Crash in 3 seconds every time.

Latest ‘fix’ means the app crashes ten seconds after its opened.

I had no problems with the app prior to the most recent update, which will randomly crash the app. I’ll just be looking at my timeline or trying to open / read a plurk and it crashes. Please fix!

The alignment appears unstable in this recent update. It suddenly go vertical and horizontal even I lock the rotation of my iPad. Please fix it. Update: the bug is now resolved. Good job!

Facebook is privacy killer. Twitter is becoming Trumpland-- join him or hate him. Google plus is graveyard. Instagram is for gold diggers. Luckily we still have Plurk.

I just updated, and it keeps showing "connection is lost". :( Pretty sure my mobile signal is great. No idea why The plurk app shows that.

Any reason why, with the new Apple update, Plurk won't work on mobile unless it's connected to Wifi?

Plurk itself is a wonderful thing but as for the all specifically, they translated the site to mobile very well. Clean and easy to use, emoticons work great, still customizable and just generally a pleasant experience.

1) won't show new plurks/replies automatically without manually pushing the screen, 2) won't load all responses, 3) loads responses out of order, 4) "new response" bubble won't disappear after you've scrolled down, 5) hides replies. PLEASE FIX ASAP. I PAY PLURK. I don't want to continue paying if the app doesn't work.

please let user rolling back to previous version. i dont need auto play AD to eat my data plan. this version has worst layout and UI, super unfriendly. all they do is to put more and more ads into your timeline, and u cant turn it off. Do not upgrade to this version, or you will regret.

This app is Twitter but the interface is better. It feels as if someone is pouring thousand island dressing all over my stomach. My first Plurk was about the socio economic problems that have destroyed inner city youth. It feels like someone gave me an entire pepperoni and it doesn't fit in my elbow. I can't wait till this becomes the new tumblr. Seriously why did you make this?

This is a far superior version than Plurk’s first iOS app, but the annoying presentation of ads in every message thread—not to mention ads designed to look like message threads peppered throughout the timeline—and Plurk’s apparent refusal to let users pay to avoid the constant irritation continues to make every other Plurk app that doesn’t force ads on users into a better option. Update 2015-12-10: The “new interface” is fine… if you only Purk on your iPhone in portrait orientation. Otherwise, the layout is less usable. And, most annoyingly, Plurk now blocks Unicode symbol keyboards, preventing the insertion of useful symbols not on the regular iOS keyboards (like ⁋, ∞, and ×). Why?!

The "improvements" to this version do not work right. If I tap a notif that someone pinged me, the app freezes. If I'm going to any other screen when I get a ping notif, the app freezes or glitches out. And to top it all off, the app overheats my i5s, and crashes not only the app, but any apps open. This heating up and crash happens even when Plurk is the only app open. Essentially, I can't even use the app like it is; not unless I want to kill my phone. EDIT: And now I just had to remove this from my phone, because even though I had it set to not send my iPhone notifications, the app was still running in the background and burning through my battery life. Did you guys even test this before it was released?

The time line bugs out on iPad, and the keyboard comes out the side.

I really liked this app before, but the redesign is really clunky and kind of ugly and a little more obnoxious to use. The swipe to mute feature was so handy, really sad to see that go. The screen feels way more cramped and cluttered; I feel like there were too many buttons added in that weren't necessary. Also, the embedded ads are really annoying--I don't mind them trying to make ad revenue, but seriously making them look like legit new plurks? That's an underhanded and uncool method of getting more clicks. Shame I didn't realize they were borking the app with this update, or I wouldn't have done it... Basically, I'm ready to look for a new app for my plurking needs.

Smooth, intuitive, much better than Mr. Plurk except for two major issues: Ads ruin it, and plurks don't automatically refresh while responding to them like they should most of the time. Moved back to Mr. Plurk, it was that bad.

Ads ruin it. Tried for a week and went back to Mr Plurk. This app would be excellent if it were possible to get rid of the ads.
